Seaglass by the Seashore
Genuine Seaglass found along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay
My name is Jeanie and I started my seaglass adventures approximately three (3) years ago. During my walks along the beach I began to discover little jewels washing up on the shoreline. Each one captured my interest and that was the beginning of my seaglass obsession. After collecting thousands of these jewels I decided there must be some way to turn them into something that others could enjoy. That was the beginning of my quest that is now my business....no two pendants are alike. Each one is so unique and seems to carry a story of its own. As I study each shard of seaglass and turn it over and over, I begin to wonder how it ended up in the waters tumbling its way to shore. I envision sunken ships that were enroute to America back in the late 1600's and early 1700's. The ship met its demise right there in the Cheseapeake Bay where after years and years of storms and currents, the contents started their journey. I can just visualize in my mind's eye beach parties back during WWII and glass bottles thrown offshore where they've tumbled and broken into shards over the years. The possibilites are endless. As you look at my jewelry, try to imagine in your mind where this beautiful shard of seaglass began it's journey and made its way to you....
